Senior Consultant and Facilitator

Kathleen Connelly has facilitated change in organizations and communities in Canada for over 18 years. She has provided management consulting services to federal and provincial governments, and the non-profit and private sectors. Kathleen has extensive experience in group and conference facilitation, stakeholder consultations and engagements, design and facilitation of senior management meetings and retreats, strategic and program planning, governance and change management and, learning and development. She provides training in the areas of leadership, communication, change management, stakeholder consultation and facilitation.

Kathleen has been involved in a great variety of projects over the years. For example, she designed and facilitated a national summit hosted by two Premiers and attended by six other Premiers, federal and provincial Ministers and approximately 300 stakeholders in the field of post-secondary education. Another example of Kathleen’s work is the design and facilitation of Treasury Board Secretariat’s Employee Town Hall for approximately 900 participants. Kathleen also worked with a planning committee representing various federal departments to design the Official Languages Research Symposium. She developed the agenda and a detailed organizers’ scenario, facilitated the symposium and oversaw preparation of the report. In this case, the approximately 150 participants were representatives of the Federal government, academic and non-profit sectors.

Prior to joining the Intersol Group, Kathleen worked as a consultant in Vancouver, B.C. for six years offering consulting and facilitation services. Before that, she worked for the federal government in the areas of market research and communications. She worked for both Environment Canada and the Department of Supply and Services (now PWGSC).

Kathleen holds a Master of Business Administration Degree (major in Governance) and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Ottawa. She is fluent in oral and written French and English and is a Certified Professional Facilitator with the International Association of Facilitators.

Kathleen’s strength is in supporting groups in working cooperatively through complex and sensitive issues and dynamics towards their goals.
