Eric Collard

Eric is a seasoned communications and stakeholder relations professional, with over 10 years’ experience in government, NGO's and the private sector.
Throughout his career he has hosted many functions, from small technical briefings to national presentations. He has also been involved with many endeavours as an on-camera talent, commentator, writer, facilitator, and more recently as a speaker and presenter. He has spoken on social media, media relations and crowdsourcing across North America over the past year.
He has worked on countless communications strategies, both complex and national. He has vast experience in strategic & crisis communications, event management and in media relations. He’s been a bilingual spokesperson in print, radio and television and has led a comprehensive media training program.
His calm and collected approach has always been about getting the right message out to the right audience, through his diverse experience in many workplaces. He has spent the bulk of his time working in amateur sport, at the City of Ottawa, and in various government departments and agencies. He’s now looking to help small businesses, NGO’s and associations navigate the waters of online engagement.
Eric graduated from Mount Allison University’s Commerce program after growing up in Ottawa and the Eastern Townships of Quebec. Eric is a high-energy business owner and is very active in the fitness industry. He is one of 13 certified ChiRunning instructors in Canada and he has taught the technique to over 300 people around the country in the last two years. He is also an NCCP-certified triathlon coach, an Ironman competitor and a Lululemon Alumni Ambassador.
