Cathy brings over 20 years of experience, as a senior leader of Human Resources and Organization Development within large private and public sector organizations.  She is known for her visionary strategic thinking and her ability to bring strategy to life with outstanding results for the organization.

As an Intersol Consultant, Cathy is passionate about helping organizations become high performing cultures.  Cathy provides consulting, assessment and facilitation services in:

  • organizational culture transformation;
  • people strategy development;
  • integrated talent management system design and implementation;
  • employee retention and engagement;
  • change and transition leadership.

Cathy’s depth of knowledge and experience has been gained by living the ups and downs of real business life, during some pretty challenging economic times. Her work has included:

  • As Executive Director of Strategic Human Resources within a large organization undergoing radical business and cultural transformation during a time of unprecedented budget constraints, Cathy helped them develop an innovative but pragmatic people strategy that got them on track to effectively realize their short and long term goals. As a result, concern and confusion turned into focused, productive activity;
  • As Director of Talent Management at a global high technology firm with offices in 32 countries, Cathy helped the company grow from 150 million to 1 billion in revenue and from 900 to 4000 employees. Under her leadership, employee attraction and recruitment blossomed, employee performance increased significantly and engagement scores soared. As a result of these best practices, the company won several prestigious awards and became known as a premier employer of choice.

Learning from the best, Cathy has participated in several North American “think tanks” and was a member of key executive roundtables in global talent management, executive development and employee engagement, where firms such as Motorola, Sony, Disney, Merck, Unilever, and UNICEF met regularly to share human resource and organizational development strategies, trends and best practices. Cathy also served as an Executive Board Member of the Attrition and Retention Consortium, a North American, membership based association, devoted to sharing data and best practices in employee engagement and retention.

Cathy has studied with several of our industry gurus including Peter Block, Morgan McCall, Michael Lombardo, John Sullivan, Marshall Goldsmith and Beverly Kaye.  She is a Certified Human Resource Professional and a Certified Organizational Cultural Values Assessor. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mount Allison University and a Masters in Organization Management and Development from Fielding Graduate University in California.
