Alain Rabeau

Senior Consultant, Facilitator and Trainer

Alain has been a Senior Consultant at Intersol since 1991. He has extensive experience in the areas of strategic and operational planning, organizational development, change management, organizational and individual learning in the development and implementation of public participation strategies and methodologies and facilitation of large group meetings and conferences. Alain is also a skilled designer and facilitator of a variety of training seminars and workshops.

Alain has provided management consulting support at senior levels to a number of public- and private-sector organizations. He has helped the Competition Bureau of Industry Canada identify relationships between user fees and client expectations of service. He has also conducted multi-stakeholder consultations for Canadian Heritage on the development of an agency for Canada's National Parks. Alain has provided specialized training in public consultation to managers at CIDA, Transport Canada, Agriculture Canada, and the National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy.

Prior to joining Intersol, Alain served as both the Coordinator of Professional Development for the City of Ottawa and as Program Director for the municipality's department of Recreation and Culture.

Alain holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Ottawa and a Masters in Public Administration from l'École nationale d'administration publique. He is also a Certified Professional Facilitator with the International Association of Facilitators.  Alain is fluently bilingual.
