The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and the Canadian Lung Association (CLA) recognized they could promote respiratory health and the healthcare of Canadians more effectively by working together.
Shaping the solution: Fostering constructive dialogue
Intersol helped the two partners host a multi-sector summit on respiratory health. We provided advice, logistical support, and planning, facilitation, project management and reporting services for a series of meetings on lung health.
Assessing the outcomes: Seeing the way forward
Out of the summit, six working groups made recommendations that ultimately yielded an approach for developing a National Framework on Respiratory Health. All parties involved agreed that that the CLA should lead the effort to develop the framework by seeking funding and recruiting collaborators.
